Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Yuzli, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Description of Service

Yuzli is a mobile application that helps you understand packaged foods. Features include:

Scanning product barcodes and nutrition labels
A 0–100 health score weighing nutrition, additives, and how natural a product is
Additive and allergen information
Healthier alternatives and nearby healthy stores

Health & Nutrition Disclaimer

Yuzli's scores, additive flags, and allergen information are provided for general informational purposes only and are not medical, dietetic, or professional health advice. Always read the actual product packaging before purchasing or consuming a product — especially if you have a food allergy or intolerance. Do not rely on Yuzli alone to avoid an allergen. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical or nutritional decisions. Yuzli is not intended for diagnosing, treating, or managing any medical condition or eating disorder.

Accuracy of Data

Yuzli draws on third-party and community-maintained data sources (see "Data Sources" below) and automated label reading. This data may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. Health scores are estimates produced by our scoring model and may not reflect your individual dietary needs. We make no guarantee that any product information, additive flag, or allergen indication is correct or complete.

User Accounts

Some features of Yuzli require an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Be responsible for all activities under your account

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any illegal purpose
Upload content that violates any laws or the rights of others
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
Interfere with or disrupt the service
Use automated systems to scrape or access the service without permission
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in Yuzli, including the label photos you capture. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to:

Store and process your content to provide our services
Send captured label photos to our backend and AI provider for label reading
Create backups for data protection purposes

We will never share your personal content with other users or use it for advertising.

Data Sources

Product data is provided in part by Open Food Facts, a collaborative database made available under the Open Database License (ODbL), and by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's FoodData Central. Yuzli is not affiliated with or endorsed by these sources.

Subscriptions and Payments

Yuzli may offer optional paid plans. If you subscribe, you agree that:

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
You can cancel at any time through your device's app store settings
Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play policies
Prices may change with notice

Intellectual Property

The Yuzli app, including its design, scoring methodology, artwork, and content (excluding user content and third-party data), is owned by Syvo Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

Disclaimers

Yuzli is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
Product data, scores, or allergen information will be accurate or complete
The service will meet your specific health or dietary requirements

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Syvo Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including any decision made based on a health score or allergen indication.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Yuzli after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
